ATM Artist Services & Circle Studios
Sara Torchani knows the business and lives and breathes music. She has done so for over 15 years. As Culture Manager, she established the Red Bull Studio in 2015 as one of Berlin’s most important venues for artistic exchange. With a degree in business administration, she served as Artist & Label Relations Manager for Apple Music for two years, acting as the link between the industry, communities, and artists, until she took the logical step toward self-employment in 2019. This is how she brings it all together: her instinct for pop culture, her close ties to artists, her passion for networking, her corporate experience, and her urgent desire to bring about structural change in the music industry. Sara Torchani was responsible for establishing Sony Music’s Circle Studios. As Creative Director, she is currently creating a space there for the musical spirit of the times to come together. Since 2020, she has also managed one of Germany’s biggest artists, Marteria. She provides independent consulting to various artists, labels, and brands, and is involved in various initiatives and mentoring programs. Among other things, she serves on the supervisory board of Initiative Musik and is a founding member of the Akademie für populäre Musik and the new German music award “Polyton”. She also serves on the advisory board of a social music startup. In late 2024, she co-founded ATM, an independent artist management agency, with two partners.

Session

Beyond the Brand Deal: Artists, Brands and the New Rules

Artists today are no longer only releasing music. They are building communities, creating content, shaping culture and often becoming trusted voices for audiences that brands struggle to reach authentically. At the same time, many artists rely on brand partnerships and digital visibility as part of their income, while access to these opportunities remains uneven and often unclear.
This session looks at how artist-brand collaborations are actually built: who gets access, who decides what feels authentic, and how value is shared between artists, audiences, brands and platforms.
