MW:M stands on the shoulders of many volunteers. People from over 10 countries, ages 18 to 50, most of them students in music-adjacent programmes who used MW:M to build networks and gather input for their careers. Now we’re looking for the next crew for MW:M26.
Why volunteer with MW:M
MW:M runs on the energy of the people who make it happen. Over the years, many volunteers from over 10 countries have kept our events running: every session, every satellite, every late night. That diversity isn’t a coincidence. It’s a mirror of the community MW:M brings together every November in Berlin.
For students in music-adjacent programmes, MW:M is more than a volunteer gig. It’s where the network you’ll rely on for years starts to take shape, and where the input that shapes your career comes from.
What we’re looking for
On the ground:
- Set-up & Dismantling: prep the venue, tear it down after
- Registration: welcoming, fast check-in for our attendees
- All-Arounders: taste a bit of everything, jump in where needed
- Speaker Support: welcome speakers and get them on stage
- Room Management: keep sessions running on location
- Social Media Assistant: content creation with our marketing team (camera + SoMe experience helpful)
Around the city:
- Listen to Berlin: Awards: help run the award ceremony one day before the conference
- MW:M Satellites: support at partner locations across Berlin
- MW:M Live (Club Festival): help run the festival nights
In charge:
- Team Leaders: lead a small team of ~5 volunteers (for highly organised, reliable people)

- Nov 2 to 3: Event set-up
- Nov 3: Listen to Berlin: Awards
- Nov 3 to 5: Convention days
- Nov 3 to 5: Club Festival nights
- Nov 5: Satellites across Berlin
