The MW:M Satellite Events
The MW:M Satellites are decentralised side events organised by partner companies, universities and other organisations and take place all over Berlin. They are an integral part of MW:M26, will take place on November 3, 2026, and are open to MW:M attendees and anyone interested – even without a conference ticket. Hosting a satellite is a great way to meet new companies, introduce products and services and make business contacts. Some satellite events will also be stops on our exquisite bus tours.
These events transform the entire city into a hotspot for music, creativity and technology, and are where the extended Berlin music community comes together. Participants can visit some of Berlin’s most unique, creative and historic locations, learn and network at inspiring workshops and meetups, and attend extraordinary live performances – in an inclusive, accessible, and low-cost way.

Berlin AI Think Tank | Open Community Session
What does Germany need to put in place now, and what role can Berlin play, to build a competitive, sustainable and fair European AI music market?
The Berlin AI Think Tank brings together representatives from music, research, technology, law, rights management and policy to examine how the European AI and music market needs to function as it develops.
This Open Community Session brings music creators, artists, managers, political and policy participants and the wider music community into the discussion.
Key outcomes from the Think Tank’s working session will be shared, where appropriate, and discussed from the perspective of the wider community, with a focus on transparency, licensing, attribution, fair remuneration and the legal and practical conditions needed for implementation.

Studio Visit with Stefanie Egedy
Low-frequency sound artist and composer Stefanie Egedy creates embodied vibrational experiences grounded in sound as a physical force through site-specific installations, commissioned works and compositions. Sub-bass, bass and infrasound (LFS) — their tactility and capacity to permeate and traverse space, perceived by the skin and the body rather than the ear alone, form the core of her artistic practice. Her work explores the relationships between sound waves, architectural bodies and human bodies, investigating the physiological and somatic effects of LFS on human perception and bodily experience. Egedy’s practice builds two bodies of work: BODIES AND SUBWOOFERS (B.A.S.), which explores the sculptural presence of subwoofers and their relationships with human and architectural bodies through LFS, and SONIC ENERGETICS, which creates LFS environments that support somatic grounding and inner orientation. Immersed in this context, she articulates the crossing between sonic and musical language to investigate sonic communication between beings.

Who Gets Funded? Rethinking Access and Sustainability in Music Support
Co-curated with Musicboard Berlin, this session explores how funding structures can become more accessible, transparent and sustainable for artists, initiatives, clubs, labels and independent professionals. Rather than focusing only on short-term project funding, the conversation asks how support can strengthen long-term artistic development, participation and resilient music ecosystems.

Fair Pay im Streaming: Was muss Kulturpolitik jetzt liefern?
