I am Lina Burghausen, working as Senior Program Manager for MW:M25. Over the past years, I have worked in almost every area of the music industry – from labels to festivals, management, PR, and journalism. In addition to my work for MW:M, I host the podcast Reeperbahn Festival Deep Dive with Alex Barbian and run my own PR agency, Mona Lina.

What motivates you to be part of Most Wanted: Music 2025? What drives you this year?
My goal is to actively shape the music industry, challenge existing unwritten rules, and open new doors. To achieve this, the industry needs to engage in conversation, ask smart questions, and bring together equally smart people who are willing to find answers to the challenges of our time. Bringing these people together, sparking discourse, and strengthening the industry from within – this is a core concern and my goal for MW:M25.

How do you personally interpret the motto “Transform!” and how does it reflect in your work at MW:M25?
I believe nothing captures the state of today’s music world better than the word “Transform!” – with an exclamation mark. Like everyone, we are subject to constant transformations in our work. In my view, the motto is also a clear call to the music industry – we need to actively address the areas where the music world faces challenges, and we need to do it together. We are responsible for transforming ourselves and implementing transformation in our own interest. With this call in mind, I curate the topics and sessions for MW:M25.

What has been your most memorable or strongest moment at MW:M so far (this year or earlier)?
Our first team get-together this year gave me a great taste of what we as a team can achieve. My role as a curator is new to me, and I am learning a lot. One highlight for me was securing my first speaker confirmation. These “first times” don’t happen every day in the industry.
