Most Wanted: Music 2026: We Rewired It. Together.

What a blast. From 3–5 November, Most Wanted: Music brought bold ideas, inspiring encounters and unforgettable live music to Berlin. Across the Convention at nhow Hotel Berlin and the Club Festival at RAW-Gelände, you made Rewire! happen! And made this our best edition yet.

Fresh perspectives. Real conversations.

With 130+ speakers across 100+ sessions and participants from 29 countries, the Convention explored the questions reshaping music: AI and authorship, inclusion and access, sustainability, the new artist economy and our connection to the dancefloor. Boundary-pushing voices and immersive installations opened up new ways of thinking, listening and working together.

For Programme Director Lindi Delight, the possibilities begin with connection: “Sometimes, a single introduction can change the course of a career.”

Berlin’s State Secretary Michael Biel underlined music’s cultural and economic importance to the city, alongside a commitment to strengthening the next generation and opening up new opportunities.

Olaf “Gemse” Kretschmar, Chairman of the Board of the Berlin Music Commission, captured the atmosphere: “energy, courage and the willingness to create something new together.”

Across the programme, a shared challenge emerged: how do we turn new ideas into lasting change? Conversations around AI and authorship, inclusion, sustainability and the new artist economy pointed to a need for fairer opportunities, accessible spaces and meaningful support for the next generation. Carrying Rewire! forward means the music industry, policymakers and cities like Berlin working together to put those priorities into practice, and sustaining the places where people can create, celebrate, find belonging and exchange ideas. That work continues beyond MW:M.

Two nights of discovery

The Club Festival brought 40+ artists to the RAW-Gelände for two nights of fresh discoveries and memorable performances. The Swag’s 15-year anniversary flowed straight into the open MW:M Closing Jam at Badehaus, with artists and audience sharing the stage: Rewire! made audible.

Alongside the LISTEN TO BERLIN: AWARDS, the LISTEN TO BERLIN: YOUTH Summit & Showcase put Berlin’s emerging talent firmly in the spotlight.

You made it happen. Let’s keep it going.
