The Future of Sound – A Closing Conversation with Thorsten Quaeschning (Tangerine Dream)

As technology transforms artistic creation, the question is no longer simply what we can produce, but what makes creation meaningful. How do technological systems reshape artistic subjectivity, creative freedom, and our relationships with audiences? Drawing on musical practice and critical reflection, this closing keynote explores the conditions under which art emerges, the tensions between innovation and conformity, and the role of cultural institutions in shaping artistic possibilities. Beyond technological progress, Rewire! invites us to reconsider what we expect from art, what we choose to create, and how we experience it together.
