About Most Wanted: Music & MW:M Live
Most Wanted: Music (MW:M) is the leading music business conference in Berlin, organized by the Berlin Music Commission on behalf of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. It aims to shape the future of the music and creative industries through knowledge exchange, networking, innovation, and new business models.
MW:M Live is the international showcase festival of MW:M, providing a platform for emerging local and international artists. Together, both formats form one of the key music industry events in Europe.
Your Tasks
- Overall coordination of logistical production for MW:M (conference) and MW:M Live (festival)
- Development and implementation of a comprehensive production concept aligned with project strategy
- Planning and execution of all production processes (pre-production, event, post-production)
- Planning and coordination of logistics (venues, site planning, rentals, build-up and dismantling)
- Coordination with venues, suppliers, and all involved production teams
- Creation and management of production schedules
- Budget planning, cost control, and invoice verification within assigned production areas
- Support of procurement and tendering processes within a public funding context
- Close collaboration with project management, programming, booking, marketing, and other teams
- On-site production management and ensuring smooth event operations
- Coordination of production crew, stage management, and technical teams
- Ensuring compliance with timelines, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Regular reporting to project management
- Post-event evaluation and documentation
Your Profile
- Several years of experience (min. 3 years) in event or production management
- Ideally experience in a leading production role
- Experience with complex event formats (e.g. festivals, conferences, multi-stage setups)
- Strong understanding of event technology and production workflows
- Experience managing budgets and external suppliers
- Structured, solution-oriented, and self-driven working style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay organized and focused under pressure
- Knowledge of sustainable event production is a plus
- Fluent German (min. B2) and English (min. C1)

Framework
- Workload: approx. 300 hours per year
- Project duration: April 2026 – March 2027 (with the option to extend by 1 year until March 2028)
- Peak phases: August – November
- Mandatory availability: during event production (early November)
- Compensation: based on qualifications (freelance)
- Maximum contract value: 2026: €13,500 net per year, 2027: 14.850 €
Note: This contract concerns a publicly funded project with limited financial resources. The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the tender if the most economically advantageous bid exceeds the available budget.
