Deadline: 18 September
Satellites are independent events across Berlin, happening between November 3-5, 2026 during MW:M, communicated through MW:M’s official channels. If you want to host an event, you’re free in the format, as long as your event fits into this year’s MW:M theme Rewire! and complies with MW:M’s sustainability and awareness principles: from workshops, talks and performances to label nights and meetups, or anything that opens up the MW:M to a wider community. No conference ticket required.
Hosted by partners, attended by anyone, official MW:M satellite events attract and connect Berlin’s music community, international visitors, and MW:M delegates.
In 2026, Satellites are how MW:M Rewire! extends beyond nhow Berlin into the wider city, especially the parts of the music ecosystem that live in venues, universities, studios, and collectives.
Who this call is for
- a company with a space and an audience worth opening up: a label HQ, a tech studio, an agency or similar,
- a university, school, or research institute with a topic that fits a music-industry week,
- an initiative, collective, or association looking to bring your community into MW:M,
- or anyone in Berlin with a venue, an idea, and the will to share both.
What you get as a Satellite host
- Your event listed on the official MW:M Satellites page
- Inclusion in MW:M communications:website, potentially newsletter mention and social media presence
- Access to the wider MW:M community of music professionals, artists, international guests, and Berlin audiences
- Potential inclusion as a stop on official MW:M bus tours of the city
What we’re looking for
- open to a wider audience, not invite-onlylow-cost or free to attend,
- add something to MW:M that wouldn’t exist without you: a perspective, a community, a venue, a format,
- fit the spirit of MW:M Rewire!: opening connections rather than closing them,
- or anything that doesn’t fit the standard categories but belongs in a music-city week.
How it works
Submit your idea by [deadline], and tell us the format, date, venue, audience, and what makes it special. Our team checks the fit with the wider programme and discusses details with you. If accepted, you host the event and we co-promote it across our channels.
