Paoline Magnus

Paoline Magnus (21) is a Belgium-born, Berlin-based producer, vocalist and composer
exploring experimental pop through technology, vanguard drum & bass and leftfield
electronic music. At the core of her practice is a strong focus on sound design,
modular synthesis and the technology behind music, using these tools to shape
intricate textures, atmospheric vocals and experimental rhythms.
Her musical practice is rooted in a background in songwriting and performance. She
began playing guitar at the age of seven and was writing and performing her own
music with a band by her teens. She later studied at the Conservatory of Ghent,
where she began looking for more space for creative experimentation and a more
subjective approach to music. This led her to Berlin, where she has continued to
develop a practice that brings together her background in songwriting and vocals with
a deep interest in sound, technology and experimentation.
Alongside her studio work, Paoline has developed a fully live, hardware-based
performance built around modular synthesizers, samplers, drum machines and unique
MIDI controllers. Her music moves between intimate, atmospheric songwriting and
more experimental, club oriented territories, creating a distinctive space between
electronic music, club culture and experimental pop.
As her musical and visual world continues to evolve, Paoline is building an identity
that extends beyond music into performance, technology and contemporary visual culture.
