Maxi Zee

Maxi Zee is a Berlin-based rapper, singer and songwriter of German-Ghanaian heritage. He started out as a breakdancer, travelling the world and performing on major stages before turning to music. During the pandemic, he began recording and engineering himself, which became an important part of developing his sound and artistic identity.
His music combines modern hip-hop and neo-soul with elements of R&B and future soul. He has shared stages with artists including Redman, Method Man, Big Daddy Kane, J.I.D and KRS-One, and has performed internationally at events such as the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and SOLE DXB in Dubai.
In 2024, Maxi was awarded Sound/Mix Engineer of the Year at the MUSIVV Awards for his work in engineering and production. His latest EP MAZZA is a jazz-infused hip-hop project about heartbreak, financial struggles, resilience and personal growth. Raw and personal, it reflects his journey as an independent artist and shows the range of his sound.
