LISTEN TO BERLIN: YOUTH
GREIF, consisting of brothers Veit and Welf is a fusion of bass-heavy beats and emotional songwriting. The resulting emotionally layered depth is conveyed through both lyrics and composition, as well as through produced, synthesized sounds. The brothers perform together, singing and playing the piano in harmony and in contrast. Their songs explore extreme emotional realms, where they place great importance on communicating as honestly and unvarnished as possible through music and lyrics. Their influences include Peter Fox / Seeed, Schmyt, Berq, and Faber. From the English-speaking world, they draw inspiration from artists like Tyler, the Creator, Billie Eilish, Queen, and Charles Aznavour. Veit and Welf won this year’s Jugend Musiziert competition in the Beats and Rhymes category, and are currently launching the artist project GREIF, the music that has connected them as brothers since childhood.

GREIF will perform as part of the LISTEN TO BERLIN: YOUTH SHOWCASE on 4 November 2026 at House of Music.
