Cerstin Richter-Kotowski

Ms Cerstin Richter-Kotowski has been State Secretary for Culture in Berlin since June 2025. She has been active in politics since 1985, first as a district councillor in Steglitz, then as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. She was a member of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district council for almost 20 years: from 2016 to 2021, she was the first woman to hold office as mayor of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, most recently as city councillor for culture, education and sport.
