masking girlfriend

masking girlfriend is a shoegaze / alternative-rock duo formed by Spanish artist Ratchet Racer and Chilean artist Benjamin God. After years of collaborating across Spain and Chile on music production and their respective solo projects, they are now based in Berlin. Their sound combines shoegaze, hyper rock, alternative rock, noisepop and experimental noise, moving between atmospheric melodies, lo-fi textures, distorted vocals and abrasive intensity. Embracing imperfection as part of their emotional language, they explore the tension between noise and melody, vulnerability and distortion. Beyond the band, both are active in Berlin’s underground scene through their individual projects and event promotion. Their past performances include Berlin, Rome, Madrid and London, alongside radio appearances on NTS, Brixton Radio, Hong Kong Community Radio and Cashmere Radio.

masking girlfriend will perform a 10-minute live set as part of the Artist Meetup. An evening of new music, exchange and connections.
