What Drives Us – The Minds Behind MW:M25: Jonas Seetge

Jonas Seetge – Head of Most Wanted: Music Live: Showcases & International Partnerships

Jonas Seetge

For over 15 years, I’ve been deeply involved in a range of festival projects, driven by a passion for positive change and a vision for a more innovative and sustainable festival industry. I’ve worked on live booking, brand partnerships, and event production for festivals such as Feel Festival, Puls Open Air, Kosmonaut & Kosmos Chemnitz, and I’m one of the co-founders of Höme – Für Festivals, where I helped develop the Festival Playground conference. Now, I’m exploring how to connect this hands-on experience with new insights into Artificial Intelligence to shape the future of live events.

What motivates you to be part of Most Wanted: Music 2025? What drives you this year?
I am deeply convinced that technology around AI will influence not only the way we live and do business but also the way we produce, organize, and enjoy culture. Most Wanted is very special in the sense of drawing connections between different industries, which is why I enjoy shaping the future of this great conference.

How do you personally interpret the motto “Transform!” and how does it reflect in your work at MW:M25?
There is so much disruption happening right now in all fields of society – culture and music especially will be affected a lot by all of them. Whether it’s political change and less financial support for cultural institutions, or technology transforming the value chain of (live) music, there are two possibilities: either sit and wait to be transformed and struggle to adapt, or lead the transformation by spotting trends early and exchanging knowledge with other pioneers about how the not-so-distant future of culture and society may look. I prefer to connect, share, and learn to at least try to influence the transformation that will surely happen.

What has been your most memorable or strongest moment at MW:M so far (this year or earlier)?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend Most Wanted over the last 3–4 years, as I was organizing another event on the same weekend. But I remember a special moment from the earlier days, when the convention was still at Alte Münze Berlin and the Showcase was at House of Music at RAW. I found it fascinating to walk through the House of Music with another artist and genre waiting behind each door. Everything felt so welcoming and open-minded. I think that is what’s still so special at MW:M – every stage is placed next to each other, making it easy to discover new artists. I hope to recreate this diverse mix of genres and create an atmosphere of familiarity and experimentation with many fresh music impulses for our open-minded audience.
