Rezvan Sayyad is a musician from Iran and a graduate student in ethnomusicology at the University of Würzburg. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music performance before moving to Germany. Her research focuses on how musical identities are shaped by diaspora within Persian-speaking communities.
Alongside her academic pursuits, Rezvan is an active kamancheh player who blends traditional Persian sounds with contemporary musical forms. Having started learning the kamancheh at a young age, she draws on its rich, expressive tones to bridge the gap between tradition and modern creativity. Through her work, she explores themes of migration, identity, and storytelling.
