Jonathan Weatherill-Hunt is a PhD candidate in the Department of Audio Communication at TU Berlin. His research investigates ideas and discourse about technological authenticity in electronic dance music and the way technology is discussed by practitioners and participants like DJs, producers and ravers themselves. Jonathan also DJs and produces under the alias Withheld. Creatively he does not conform to any specific genre and describes his musical output as ‘miscellaneous electronic jams’.
