Arjun Chadha is the founder, editor-in-chief, publisher and self-taught journalist of Get Familiar Magazine, an independent and award-winning interview magazine that explores and challenges how hip-hop intersects with culture, politics, and society-at-large. The magazine believes that hip-hop’s greater cultural footprint is fertile incubation-ground for developing both forward-thinking and decolonial ideas.
Through in-depth interviews with thought-provoking and multidisciplinary makers from around the world (artists, authors, academics, journalists, musicians, etc.), he critically investigates timely cultural themes, such as racism, sexism, migration, institutionalisation, and gentrification, through the lens of hip-hop culture.
