Alexander Krüger

Alexander Krüger is a cultural visionary, musician and festival organiser. Outwardly, he sports wild hairstyles and flamboyant costumes, but inside, his big heart brings people and music together. Born in 1983, he moved from the Harz Mountains to London and Shanghai while studying cultural and economic sciences. Alex is an important initiator and designer in the reconquest of Berlin’s urban space and cultural landscape. Since the age of 16, he has been organising events and festivals with great passion and dedication, including Feel, Rocken Am Brocken, Artlake, Akasha and Whole Festival – and at the same time, he also began producing his own music in the form of various music projects. With the Alte Münze, he now also offers a permanent framework for people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds to come together. Over the past five years, Alex and his wonderful team have transformed the Alte Münze – a former mint covering 9,000 square metres in the heart of Berlin – into a vibrant cultural centre with exhibition and event spaces, art and music studios, and a future lab. We are very much looking forward to his effervescent energy and good humour on the podium.
