MW:M Live – MOST WANTED: MUSIC announces new Showcase format

This year, MOST WANTED: MUSIC – Germany’s #1 MusicTech conference – debuts its own showcase event: MW:M Live. Twenty hand-picked artists from Berlin, Germany and Europe will get up-close with a group of 150 invited industry guests – performing for them in the cosy rehearsal rooms of the brand new House of Music Taking place on 6th November 2019, each of MW:M Live’s six stages offer an exclusive opportunity for exciting new talents to be discovered by an audience of booking agents, managers, A&Rs, event organizers, media, sync and music supervisors.

After 5 years of pure B2B-conference, we extend MOST WANTED: MUSIC with our own showcase format. With this, we not only want to support selected talents and their business partners directly by building their careers, but also give the live music industry a larger platform within the framework of MW:M. Moreover, it offers the participating trade audience even more opportunities to advance their businesses.”

MW:M Live – Berlin’s new showcase event

MW:M Live’s strong line-up of up-and-coming artists has been curated by the showcase hosts – a cross-section of Europe’s most forward-looking music industry organizations. This includes the Berlin Music Commission (BMC) with its listen to berlin 2019/20 compilation; gigmit’s newly launched Live Music Accelerator Berlin; and the British And Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM). Also, the showcase draws on strong regional expertise, including SoundCzech (the Czech music export office), music:LX (Music Luxembourg), PopKW (the National Association for Popular Music and Creative Industries, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), BY-on (a project of VPBy – the Association for Pop Culture in Bayern), and Kreatives Sachsen (Creative Saxony). About MOST WANTED:MUSIC 2019

Germany’s largest MusicTech convention brings the international music and creative industries to Berlin – to shape new markets, new working environments and new values. Hence, around 2,000 participants – artists, decision-makers, founders and visionaries – will meet in Berlin at MOST WANTED: MUSIC (MW:M) on the 6th and 7th of November. This year, MW:M presents more than 80 keynotes, discussions, best practice presentations, fireside chats, practical workshops and matchmaking events with 100 speakers from all over the world. In addition, there will be extraordinary live performances, the listen to berlin: Awards ceremony and, for the first time, the music showcase programme MW:M Live. With MW:M19, it is the conference’s sixth edition, taking place at the historic Alte Münze, one of Berlin’s hippest creative hotspots, for the second time.
