Call for Speakers & Sessions

“Transform!”MW:M25 explores how we harness music’s unique power as humanity’s love language to not just navigate but actively design the future of music across culture, business, and technology. Not as passive observers, but as engineers, architects, and creative builders of tomorrow’s music ecosystem

This call is aimed at all music, tech and media professionals, entrepreneurs and students who would like to share and discuss their experiences, knowledge, ideas, projects or business models. We’re looking for innovative voices who can contribute to our “Transform!” theme, thematic vision & across our four key verticals:

BUSINESS
Revenue, investment, financial strategy, touring, entrepreneurship

SOCIAL IMPACT
Diversity, activism, wellness, sustainability, fair pay

NEXTTECH
Tech, AI, Web3, streaming, metaverse, digital rights

SCENE
Nightlife, venues, collectives, promoters, local music ecosystems

The deadline for your proposals is 4th June. The MW:M programme team will discuss all submissions and get back to you as soon as possible. If you have any requests, comments, or feedback, please send us an e-mail.

To give you some help, session formats could be, not only, but for example:

Panel Discussions (45-50 minutes)
– Traditional format with deliberate diversity of perspectives
– Audience polling technology to guide discussion in real-time
– Concrete action items/takeaways rather than just Q&A
Best for: Contrasting viewpoints on industry challenges, multi-stakeholder topics

Keynote Presentations (15-30 minutes)
– Solo or dual speaker focused presentations
– Dynamic visual presentations beyond standard slides
– 10-minute facilitated discussion after each keynote
Best for: Visionary perspectives, research findings, industry forecasts

Fireside Chats (45 minutes)
– Intimate conversations between industry leaders
– Pre-submitted questions from digital audience
– Focus on personal transformation stories and lessons learned
Best for: Deep dives with industry veterans, cross-sector dialogues

Ask Me Anything (AMA) Sessions (30 minutes)
– Relaxed alternative to formal Q&A panels
– Industry experts in a casual setting answering audience questions
– Questions can be submitted in advance
Best for: Demystifying complex topics, access to industry experts

Workshops (90-120 minutes)
– Hands-on skill-building sessions
– Limited capacity for deeper engagement
– Participants leave with practical tools/templates
Best for: Technical skills, methodology training, tool introduction

Fishbowl Conversations (50 minutes)
– Inner circle of 4-5 speakers with open chairs for audience members to join
– Audience members can “tap in” to join the conversation and “tap out” when finished
– Facilitator ensures diverse participation and keeps discussion flowing
Best for: Controversial topics, complex issues needing multiple perspectives

Structured Networking Sessions (55-60 minutes)
– Guided networking with clear prompts and objectives
– Small group rotations based on shared interests or complementary expertise
– Visual indicators for people open to conversations
– Designated “connectors” who help introduce people
Best for: Building new connections, finding collaborators, breaking silos
