Hayes & Y

Hayes & Y is a band with some history behind it, shaping the life of its members Blago, Ivo and Rado ever since they were in high school together in Sofia, Bulgaria. Years of growing up and playing to tiny audiences eventually led to them being the most successful indie band in their home country. In 2015 they supported Kasabian on the stage of Spirit of Burgas. In 2016 they moved to the UK, where they met their current drummer, Dennis Hallback, who is from Finland. The unusual Finnish-Bulgarian mix has been going from strength to strength ever since – getting airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Manchester, KEXP, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and being selected to participate in the prestigious Eurosonic Noorderslag showcase. 2022 was a major year for Hayes & Y. In August they were a part of the amazing line-up of Summer Well Festival in Romania alongside Arctic Monkeys, Jungle and Nothing But Thieves. In October the band released their debut album. The 1st of December will be remembered as Hayes & Y’s biggest headline gig yet, at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. In 2023 Hayes & Y played Burgas Summer Live as a part of a 3-piece lineup, alongside Nothing But Thieves and Franz Ferdinand. 2024 saw the band expand their international reach as they played at Electric Castle in Romania, 50 Lab in Belgium and PIN in Macedonia. In 2025, Hayes & Y released their second album “”Departures”” and took part in Primavera in Barcelona and InMusic in Croatia. The success of the album (surpassing 2 million streams in just 5 months) lead to them being signed to Buback, a booking agent that will be representing Hayes & Y for the territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
