About the project
Most Wanted: Music (MW:M) is Berlin’s leading music business conference with strong international reach. Together with the showcase festival MW:M Live, it brings together conference, networking and live experiences for the global music and creative industries.
MW:M drives the future of the music and creative industries – through new ideas, up-to-date know-how, as well as networking and collaboration.
The MW:M Convention features keynotes, interviews, debates, workshops and curated matchmaking formats addressing the most relevant topics in the music, creative and tech industries, creating tangible value for artists and their partners.
The accompanying showcase festival MW:M Live provides emerging local and international talents with a platform to present themselves to industry experts, decision-makers and music audiences.
Your responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for strategy and execution of all marketing, PR and social media activities
- Audience analysis, growth and ticket sales performance
- Development and implementation of creative campaigns and storytelling
- Management of external service providers (PR, social media, content)
- Content production and cross-channel communication
- Budget responsibility as well as monitoring and reporting
- Close collaboration with programme, partnerships and project management
Your profile
- Several years of experience in marketing (ideally in the music or creative industries)
- Strong network in the music and media industry
- Strategic and operational marketing expertise across all relevant channels
- Excellent communication and execution skills
- Project management experience, ideally in a leadership role
- Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality and strong sense of ownership
- Fluent in German and English

Framework conditions
- approx. 500 hours | start asap until December 2026, with option to extend for at least one additional year
- freelance | compensation based on experience

This contract is part of a publicly funded project with limited financial resources. The maximum contract value is €22,500 net per annual project period. The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the tender if the most economically advantageous offer exceeds this amount.
