Rob van Wegen

As a former festival producer Rob van Wegen has a very practical view on the subject of sustainable event management. After 15 years of operational work in the festival industry he has now dedicated himself entirely to sustainability.

He works as Sustainability coordinator of Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen the Netherlands one of Europe's best-known music festivals. And has been active for more than five years in the Innofest project which coordinates test platforms for prototypes and products with a sustainable focus at festivals.

In 2021 he published a three-step roadmap to help other organizers translate their sustainable strategies into long-term effective planning. From his position at ESNS he has been an active member in the Green Deal Circular Festivals Programme.
