Juba

Juba is a London-born, Berlin-based DJ, host and curator who has built a solid reputation for her work in global electronic music scenes. Whilst being a dancefloor staple, Juba has also successfully implanted herself across the music industry. She is a resident on Rinse FM (London) and Cashmere Radio (Berlin), and has hosted for the likes of Boiler Room, Keep Hush Resident Advisor, Ableton, Telekom Electronic Bests and more. Juba also utilises her passion for music to explore wider societal issues. This is evidenced in her highly acclaimed 2020 documentary, 'Assurance’, which highlighted the experiences of female DJs in Nigeria. The documentary received industry-wide support and the documentary later broadened out into the 'Assurance Podcast'. The 13 episode podcast series explored issues facing female DJs across the Global South and was supported by Adidas and Zalando. Other key focuses include environmental and sustainability in music, music and narratives focusing on Africa and the African diaspora.
