GOTOPO’s music is perhaps best understood by listening to debut single Malembe: its neo-indigenous aesthetics gave GOTOPO a world-building character, and a sound that became her signature. Building bridges between pop culture and the academic arts is a passion for GOTOPO, who performed with 15 other musicians at the opening of the Ethnological Museum and Museum of Asian Art at the Humboldt Forum Berlin. Her 3rd independently-released single ‘Eso’ with Joaquin Cornejo earned features on BBC Radio 6 Music, Worldwide FM, and in other high-profile magazines and playlists. GOTOPO is currently working with Grammy-winning producer Ulises Lozano, Simon Mejia, Robot Koch and others.
