Wenn man JISKA zuhört, wie sie über ihre Musik spricht, ist es so als plaudere da jemand über etwas das einfach schon immer da war. Zwischen der Musikschule ihres Großvaters und dem Backstage ihrer Mutter findet die Stuttgarter Musikerin zum Bass und fängt an auf ihm zu dichten, begleitet vom Summen einer soft-souligen Stimme.
Mit entspanntem Selbstbewusstsein greift sie in die Schubladen Pop und Soul und streut das in Songs, die frisch klingen und dabei an Altes erinnern.
Mit dem Song „Girl Next Door“ wird sie für den New Music Award 2022 nominiert.

Listening to JISKA talk about her music is like hearing someone chatting about something that has just always been there. Between her grandfather's music school and her mother's life backstage, she finds her way to the bass and writes songs on it, accompanied by a soft-soulful voice.
With self-confidence, she reaches into the pigeonholes of pop and soul, and sprinkles them into songs that sound fresh while reminding us of the old.
In spring 2020, she found herself on tour with Betterov and Rhodes. With the song "Girl Next Door", the artist is also nominated for the New Music Award 2022.
