Biography
Connor Boshuijer is an American/Dutch music industry professional with over a decade of experience in the music business. Initially, Boshuijer got his start playing in an assortment of (punk) bands, but he quickly moved behind the scenes as an artist manager, concert promoter, freelancer, and general hustler.
Currently, Boshuijer serves as the Head of Buying for Rough Trade EU, where he oversees the acquisition of new and existing music releases, ensuring a diverse and engaging catalog. His role involves working closely with labels and distributors to secure exclusive releases.
After the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Boshuijer transitioned to a role with B2B music distributor, FUGA, and was appointed to lead the company’s physical distribution arm in October 2021. At FUGA, he worked on releases for artists such as Viagra Boys and Peter Doherty, and managed back catalog projects for acts like Run The Jewels, Apocalyptica, Heather Nova, Benny Sings, and more.
As a passion project, he co-founded Blindsided Records with Peter Schoor (ex-V2 Records), releasing vinyl and digital records for their favorite hardcore bands, focusing primarily on European talent. Additionally, Boshuijer managed singer-songwriter Nina June, who has amassed over 17 million streams and signed with Nettwerk Records in 2019 under his guidance.
Boshuijer also worked as a talent buyer for PAARD in The Hague, beginning with bookings for Paardcafe and eventually handling several shows in their larger rooms. He founded and led The Hague’s division of Sofar Sounds for four years starting in January 2016. Boshuijer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Management from the HKU (Hogeschool van de Kunsten, Utrecht) and recently completed his Master’s Degree in Music Business from Berklee Online with distinction.
