Tony Nwachukwu is a unique force in the music industry, seamlessly blending his talents as a producer, DJ, lecturer, and consultant. His mission is to forge innovative connections between the realms of music production and learning, creating transformative opportunities for creative professionals and industry insiders.
As the founder and director of CREATE DEFINE RELEASE (CDR), Nwachukwu has established a community-driven organisation dedicated to providing meaningful and sustainable pathways for music producers, artists, and industry professionals. CDR's far-reaching programs span national and international collaborations, including ongoing partnerships in Berlin, Nairobi, and cities across the UK.
Nwachukwu's artistic journey is a tapestry woven with diverse threads. His production credits include the acclaimed "Attica Blues" on MoWax/Sony, as well as project monikers such as 'NEPA Allstar,' 'The Wach,' and 'WaH-chU-kU.' His extensive and eclectic production and remix portfolio encompasses collaborations with renowned artists like Chris Ofili, Courtney Pine, The Cinematic Orchestra, Jazzanova, Duran Duran, and U.N.K.L.E.
Nwachukwu's impact extends beyond his artistic endeavours, as he has dedicated himself to shaping the future of music education. His lecturing, consulting, and learning concepts have been embraced by companies and organisations worldwide, including Red Bull Music Academy, Ableton, Tate Britain, Native Instruments, Apple, The Roundhouse, BIMM, London South Bank University, and the University of East London. Additionally, he serves on the board of the influential music platform Resident Advisor.
