Ralf Kollmann formed mobilee in partnership with Anja Schneider. What began as a side project quickly expanded into a fully-fledged career as mobilee blossomed from a small, homegrown label into a full-on music and entertainment enterprise.
More a fully-fledged company than just a traditional record label, mobilee looks towards an integrated clubbing experience, bringing label management, artist management, publishing, promo and artist studios together under one roof, while placing an explicit primacy on developing and utilising innovative modes of music distribution and promotion for its artists.
mobilee is committed to facing the realities of rapid change within the music industry, and adapts to technological and cultural transformations through a continual process of re-invention.
Kollmann works tirelessly behind the scenes to hone the mobilee sound, championing the label’s artists and unearthing the future-forward new talent that will contribute to pushing the mobilee vision forward. Unafraid to journey off the well-worn path, he continues to move the label and its ever-growing collective in dynamic directions. 2025 is being the 20th anniversary of the label and its still going and growing.
In 2015 he became Executive Board Member of the AFEM (Association For Electronic Music) representing the rightsholders section and pushing the “Get Played Get Payed” initiative – which aims on changing the distribution of royalty fees by connecting track identification technology to the global system of collecting societies.
In 2017 he also joined the board of Bridges For Music: a non-prophet organisation building an academy for music education and entrepreneurship in Langa / Capetown, South Africa. http://www.bridgesformusic.org
His artist management company I-AM-MGMT is looking after artists like Rodriguez Jr., Squire, M.E.M.O. and all connected label brand activities.
