Helen Meyer is project lead at The Venue Berlin. She studied music business in the UK and Germany, and her professional background combines the traditional music industry with innovations and music tech startup support. Her career in music started as band manager, concert organiser and artist host at several German festivals such as Rocco del Schlacko and Maifeld Derby Festival. Since then, Helen has worked extensively across the music industry, including being involved in big music brand partnership campaigns for clients such as Samsung, the production of BBC 6Music Live Sessions with artists including Bloc Party, First Aid Kid, Johnny Marr and New Order, and project managing the international cross-media Smirnoff Sound Collective campaign, as well as music supervising spots for brands like Esprit. In her role for The Venue Berlin, Helen is looking for the most innovative and disruptive business models within the music and audio industry. Through her panels and After Work Sessions, Helen has created a space to discuss new technologies within the industry.
