Our confirmed speakers
Julian Butz is co-founder of NEUBAU Music, a music company founded in mid-2018 with offices in Berlin and Hamburg. NEUBAU stands for sustainable artist development and is active in three business areas: Artist Management, Label and Publishing. As Managing Director of NEUBAU-Musikverlag, Julian Butz and his team represent artists, songwriters and producers from various genres and manage their copyrights. This is done in close co-operation with the management and label teams, which operate under the imprints Humming Records and NEUBAU Records. NEUBAU currently employs 18 people who work together on innovative solutions for the current needs of artists and the future requirements of the music industry.
Lucie is a lead music negotiator, navigator and strategist, specialising in digital music rights, innovation and music IP. Lucie has negotiated international relations and commercial deals on all ‘sides’ of the stakeholder table and led Policy and Public Affairs at Government level.
Lucie started her music career at an iconic music publisher indie, working subsequently for PRS for Music, Major rights-holders and a range of DSPs including Deezer and Bandcamp. Lucie provides expertise to enable growth through IP and innovation; currently acting for platforms in games, AV and new technologies using music.
Representing at sector-level, Lucie is the former CEO of the UK’s performing artist organisation the FAC and is currently Chief Innovation and Government Affairs officer for the UK’s entertainment retail body ERA, focusing on new technologies, IP frameworks and creative industry affairs. She is an advocate for equal opportunities, human rights, and ethical innovation.
