Johnny Kulo

Born and raised in a small town in India, he is a 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter. The first instrument he ever picked up was drums, and he was soon appointed as the church drummer when he was 8. After trying his hand at several instruments, he decided to develop himself as a guitarist and keyboardist, believing it would help his songwriting. All his songs are written, arranged, composed, and executively produced by him. Now, after all these years, he finds himself comfortably sitting behind the drumkit once again as he plays and sings his songs live, accompanied by Berlin's finest Neo-soul musicians, whom he calls his friends. He is inspired by artists such as D'angelo, J Dilla, and Mac Ayres. His sound has been categorized as the love child of familiar and relatable pop music, along with the grit and musicality of soul music. Having moved halfway across the globe to pursue his career as an artist, he has independently released music which has slowly but steadily gained traction.
