Our confirmed speakers
Bristol-born b-boy Kirk Thompson, best known as DJ and producer Krust, is a pioneering figure in the drum & bass and jungle scenes. Krust has left an indelible mark on the music world. A founding member of Full Cycle, the first non-London label to truly mould and manipulate the jungle schematic, and Reprazent, one of the first D&B acts to infiltrate the popular psyche, and win critical Mercury Music Prize acclaim, Krust is celebrated for his unique musical style.
Krust’s epic experimentalism is exemplified in his 1997 single “Soul In Motion” and the groundbreaking 1998 single “True Stories” for Talkin Loud. An in-demand remixer, Krust has reworked tracks for Björk, Korn, Moloko, Claude VonStroke, DJ Krush, Adam F, Shy FX, Alex Reece, DJ Ron, DJ Rap, and many more. His recent album, Edge of Everything, released in 2020 on Crosstown Rebels, received critical acclaim and was nominated for Album of the Year by the AIM Awards and DJ Mag.
Krust has channeled his creative flair and experience into supporting artists and innovators through his lifestyle consultancy, Adapt the Canvas. This consultancy helps creatives reinvent themselves through workshops and seminars focused on creative thinking, time management, overcoming personal challenges, wellness, and developing productive mindsets. Adapt the Canvas has hosted events at prestigious venues such as Soho House, Do Lectures, and The Barbican, to name a few.
Simone Ogunbunmi, professionally known as MAMA, is an accomplished recording artist and singer with a career spanning over two decades. Raised in London to French Caribbean and Nigerian parents, Simone’s journey kicked off as the lead singer for the underground electroclash band Superstudio and later as the frontwoman for the indie-electro band Mama Shamone.
Her musical style, fusing dance, electronic, and experimental elements, has garnered international acclaim. As a solo artist MAMA, Simone has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Solomon, Ashley Beedle, Rampa, Hannah Holland, and more; achieving success with chart-topping hits like ‘Corporate Butcher,’ ‘Recluse,’ and ‘Unmask Me.’ Simone is also an entrepreneur, owning HAUS in Brixton, London – an unconventional plant and vinyl shop by day, and a live music space by night. She also explores various business ventures, including medicinal products and branded clothing.
After several years of on-stage work throughout Germany, the Berlin-based gold- and platinum-certified songwriter and singer decided to dedicate herself to her true passion: singing and writing music. For almost ten years she has spent a lot of time in studios around the world, creating both English and German songs.
She has written tracks on number 1 albums in Japan, Germany and Switzerland. Linda is head of the board of the German songwriter association VERSO. She is exclusively signed to Meisel Music and founded her own publishing agency, PAPER PUG, in 2021.
