Our confirmed speakers
Mapp is a multidisciplinary Artist from Toronto, Canada living and creating in Berlin. Mapp has performed as a singer/songwriter in over the last several years at venues such as Badehaus, Pop Kultur Berlin, Berghain, and Ohm. Mapp is continuing to create and work on music/writing and directing in Berlin, as is in the process of releasing her self titled EP project.
As a former festival producer Rob van Wegen has a very practical view on the subject of sustainable event management. After 15 years of operational work in the festival industry he has now dedicated himself entirely to sustainability.
He works as Sustainability coordinator of Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen the Netherlands one of Europe’s best-known music festivals. And has been active for more than five years in the Innofest project which coordinates test platforms for prototypes and products with a sustainable focus at festivals.
In 2021 he published a three-step roadmap to help other organizers translate their sustainable strategies into long-term effective planning. From his position at ESNS he has been an active member in the Green Deal Circular Festivals Programme.
Chris Cooke is Founder and MD of CMU, a company that helps people navigate and understand the music business through media like the CMU Daily bulletin and Setlist podcast; a consultancy unit and training business; and a future talent programme.
Chris writes, talks, teaches and consults about the music industry and wrote the acclaimed ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ book and ‘Music Copyright Explained’ guide. His business UnLimited Media also publishes ThisWeek Culture and ThreeWeeks Edinburgh.
Richard Akingbehin is a British-Nigerian DJ and curator living in Berlin. He is the co-founder of the Refuge Worldwide radio station and founder of techno, dub and experimental label Kynant Records.
