Our confirmed speakers
Building off of a decade of experience in music tech, events, and record labels, Jenna immersed herself in the ever-evolving landscape of music and technology, witnessing firsthand how these two domains converge to shape the future of entertainment. Her roles always maintain an emphasis on collaboration at their core, whether between individuals or the businesses they operate within.
Jenna is a co-founder of Greening Music Tech, an initiative aimed at helping the music tech industry reduce CO2 emissions in its operations and manufacturing processes. Her work aims to help make business practices more sustainable, whether it’s through leading the Green Team at Ableton LOOP, working with Berlin-based booking agency UNFOLD Artists, or enabling and facilitating thoughtful exchange in the Greening Music Tech network.
Oluremi Abati is a doctoral researcher in the music department at King’s College London. His research interests are in music technology and accessibility for visually impaired producer with specific focus on Digital Audio Workstations. He has presented at academic conference around the globe from Norway to New Zealand. Remi is also a singer and songwriter, a saxophone player and released his latest single, Sense, earlier this year.
Jonathan Ng was awarded the Overseas Arts Administration Scholarship by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He graduated from Macromedia University in Berlin, Germany, with an Honors Master’s degree in Music Management.
Recent years, Jonathan was involved in composing and music production with theaters and movies, including acting in Defective Beings@《Pivot, Only the Shadows Move, and others. He also provided sound guidance for Experimental Performance Reading 3.0 and participated in improvisational music performances as part of Fugitive SEED Jam and Escape by Improvisation.
From 2018 to the present, he has served as the Accounting Manager at Musica Viva. In 2017-2018, he worked as an Assistant Art Production Manager under the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s “Art Production Internship Program.” He has been involved in opera productions such as, L’elisir d’amore, La Boheme, Maria Stuarda, Madame Butterfly, The Magic Flute and more. He has also been part of concert productions, including Music Interflow A Dialogue Between East and West in London, Elena Obraztsova Foundation Partnership Concerts in Russia, amongst others and he participated in half-staged operas, such as L’elisir d’amore in Guangzhou.
Jonathan founded JazzforfunHK in 2013 and co-organized more than 50 events with various art groups, including the Hong Kong Art and Design Community, Central Harbourfront Event Space, and Lai Yuen Super Summer 2015.
