MW:M: Live 2022: The Showcase Festival for Newcomers Apply now! MW:M Live 2022 is the music showcase event of Most Wanted: Music, Berlin’s music business conference. Taking place on 10 November at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin, the fourth edition of the showcase offers up-and-coming talent – both local and international – the chance to introduce themselves as live acts in front of an audience of conference participants, invited decision-makers, and music lovers. Artists from all over Germany and Europe will be selected from the applicants – with a special attention on this year’s focus state, Saxony – offering aspiring artists a stage and platform for the next step in their career. ARTIST APPLICATION

The MW:M Live Showcase will take place on Thursday, 10 November 2022, at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. Admission is already included for all industry visitors of the conference. Separate tickets for MW:M Live will be available shortly. The deadline for applications is 20 September 2022. Our MW:M Live team will contact the successful applicants in the last week of September. Why take part in MW:M Live?

MW:M Live brings artists, brands, and the music industry from Germany and abroad together – on one evening, in one venue. It’s the chance to present your artists to experts in the heart of the German capital. Our showcase event is a platform to discover the most promising newcomers of the moment – quickly, decisively, and sustainably. In addition, we offer the musicians increased visibility on a European level – through extensive marketing measures from Most Wanted: Music, and via a number of international co-operations.

An exclusive selection of artists

The festival is open to all genres of contemporary music culture, and a total of 15 artists will get the chance to showcase themselves in our prestigious venue. A number of criteria play an important role in artist selection, including: strong artist characters, innovative sounds, experimental performances – and artists’ music is considered with current trends in mind. An existing level of professional involvement is an advantage; however, we would also like to offer a stage to previously-unknown new discoveries.

Professional platform, heavyweight audience

The artists perform at MW:M Live in front of a hand-picked selection of booking agents, managers, A&Rs and media representatives, in Berlin – the place where the international music industry’s decision-makers come to discover music. Thanks to the professional set-up of the venues, artists will perform under optimal conditions, allowing the audience to experience them at their most direct and authentic.

Networking and interaction

MW:M Live is more than just a stage for newcomers. We see our role as a driver of innovation and a source of inspiration – and offer an industry meeting place for decision-makers and musicians to network and exchange ideas. An appearance at MW:M Live can be an important milestone for acts to further professionalize their artistic and music business careers – so all artists selected to play MW:M Live and their team will also receive a free ticket to our conference, with access to the keynotes, talks, presentations, and workshops.
