Discover the Music City Berlin at MW:M19!
Berlin is already Germany’s beating heart of the creative industry. At MW:M19 there is a big question in the air: What does it mean for Berlin to once again become the centre of the German music industry? Discover the Music City Berlin at MOST WANTED: MUSIC 2019!
There is no doubt: Berlin is one of the hotspots of the creative industry in both Germany and Europe. In 2020, when Sony Music joins Universal, Spotify and BMG in choosing Berlin as their home, this will have an enormous impact on the capital city. Not least the music industry! Yet, this business boost is put under microscope at MW:M19.
There is a lot to discover in the program of MOST WANTED: MUSIC 2019: State Secretary Christian Rickerts of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises will discuss what it means when the head and the heart of the German music industry are in sync, here, in the most exciting city in Europe. While Prof. Dr. Klaus Goldhammer, MD of consultancy group Goldmedia, will explain how this said musical creativity will create a record EUR 2.4 billion in revenue for Berlin next year.
Music City Berlin: Even more Highlights
Yet another highlight at MW:M19 is the Smart Music Cities Think Tank. At this innovative and inclusive open roundtable experts from across Germany exchange ideas and methods of building a Music City. Is a physical location even needed for creativity? Or is it more important than ever? Do cities need more workspaces, festivals and events that push music to the fore in a busy, fractured society? And how can the network of music cities help to support musical pop culture? In this context, the listen to berlin: Awards 2019 are presented. For the fourth time this year, it rewards outstanding achievements for Berlin’s music and cultural scene. Amongst other, nominees are Modeselektor feat. Tommy Cash, Frank Zander, Green Music Initiative, Clubtopia and SchwuZ. Get more information here. All in all, MOST WANTED: MUSIC 2019 puts a perspective on Berlin’s key role in the creative, culture and music industry of Germany, Europe and the world. So, don’t miss out!Don’t miss:
